About the event
Learn how to write with structure and style as we journey through U.S. History. Students will work through the Institute for Excellence in Writing's (IEW) units 5-9 this semester. They will be writing from pictures, summarizing multiple references, participating in inventive writing, completing a critique, and completing and presenting a formal research paper.
Vocabulary and grammar concepts will be included in this course. A formal grammar program will be introduced to each student.
Please note that this is the second semester of a year-long course. No new students will be added unless they have prior IEW experience.
***Parents are responsible for purchasing the U.S. History-Based Writing Lessons Student book (2nd edition, November 2019) prior to the first day of class (https://iew.com/shop/products/us-history-based-writing-lessons-student-book-only), as well as either purchasing or printing out the Student Resource Notebook from IEW.
