About the event
Learn how to write with structure and style as we journey through U.S. History. SStudents will work through the Institute for Excellence in Writing's (IEW) units 5-9 as they learn to take notes in a key word outline, creatively write from pictures, summarize multiple references, summarize multiple references, participate in inventive writing and a formal critique, and complete a formal research report. Students will learn about world explorers, the Pilgrims, colonization of the New World, The Boston Massacre, and the events and important figures that led to the American Revolution.
Vocabulary and grammar concepts will be included in this course. A grammar program will be introduced to each student. The grammar program will be provided. NO additional curriculum will need to be purchased.
Please note that this is the second semester of a year-long course.
