About the event
Learn how to write with structure and style as we travel back in time through U.S. History. Students will work through the Institute for Excellence in Writing's (IEW) units 5-9 as they learn to complete key word outlines, take notes, write from pictures, summarize multiple reference, complete a research paper, and critique a story. This course is an excellent class for students in grades 6-8. Vocabulary and grammar will be included in this course.
Please note that this is the second semester of a year-long course. If your student does not have prior IEW experience, please contact me at uscharleys07@gmail.com prior to registering.
***Parents are responsible for purchasing the U.S. History-Based Writing Lessons Student book (2nd edition, November 2019) prior to the first day of class (https://iew.com/shop/products/us-history-based-writing-lessons-student-book-only), as well as either purchasing or printing out the Student Resource Notebook from IEW.
