About the event

Learn how to write with structure and style as we travel back in time through U.S. History. Students will work through the Institute for Excellence in Writing's (IEW) units 1-4 as they learn to complete key word outlines, take notes, complete stories, and summarize references.  This course is an excellent class for students in grades 6-8, or returning IEW students who are ready for more of a challenge.

Vocabulary and grammar will be included in this course.

Please note that this is the first semester of a year-long course.  If your student does not have prior IEW experience, please contact me at uscharleys07@gmail.com prior to registering.

***Parents are responsible for purchasing the U.S. History-Based Writing Lessons Student book (2nd edition, November 2019) prior to the first day of class (https://iew.com/shop/products/us-history-based-writing-lessons-student-book-only), as well as either purchasing or printing out the Student Resource Notebook from IEW.
