Modern World History-Based Writing Lessons - Grades 6-9 - ***CLASS IS FULL

Learn how to write with structure and style as we travel back in time through Modern World History.  This course addresses different cultures throughout the world, including the Age of Exploration, World War II, and important figures in modern history.  Students will work through the Institute for Excellence in Writing's (IEW) units 1-4 as they learn to complete key word outlines, take notes, complete stories, and summarize references.  This course is an excellent class for students in grades 6-8, or returning IEW students who are ready for more of a challenge.

Vocabulary and grammar will be included in this course.

Please note that this is the first semester of a year-long course.  If your student does not have prior IEW experience and is younger than 7th grade, please contact me at uscharleys07@gmail.com prior to registering.

***Parents are responsible for purchasing the Modern World History-Based Writing Lessons Student book (2nd edition, January 2020) prior to the first day of class (https://iew.com/shop/products/modern-world-history-based-writing-lessons-student-book-only), as well as either purchasing or printing out the Student Resource Notebook from IEW.

The cost is $55 per month.  The semester total is $220.
