About the event
This year we will travel back in time to the Medieval period. Knights, Vikings, kings, and famous men of the Middle Ages come to life as students learn to write with structure and style. Students will work through the Institute for Excellence in Writing's (IEW) units 5-9 as they learn to complete key word outlines, take notes, write from pictures, summarize multiple reference, complete a research paper, and critique a story. This course is an excellent class for students in grades 6-8. Vocabulary and grammar will be included in this course.
Please note that this is the second semester of a year-long course.
