About the event
This semester we will travel back in time to the Medieval period. Knights, Vikings, kings, and famous characters of the Middle Ages come to life as students learn to write with structure and style. Students will work through the Institute for Excellence in Writing's (IEW) units 1-4 as they learn to take notes, write from their outline, summarize multiple references, and learn all about Medieval history as they write with structure and style. This course is an excellent class for students in grades 5-8, or returning IEW students who are ready for more of a challenge.
Vocabulary and grammar concepts will be included in this course.
Please note that this is the first semester of a year-long course.
