About the event

This semester we will travel back in time to the Medieval period.  Knights, Vikings, kings, and famous men of the Middle Ages come to life as students learn to write with structure and style.  Students will work through the Institute for Excellence in Writing's (IEW) units 1-4  as they learn to take notes in a key word outline, become familiar with MLA formatting, retell narrative stories, and summarize a reference.

Vocabulary and grammar concepts will be included in this course.  A formal grammar program will be introduced to each student.  The grammar program will be provided.  NO additional grammar curriculum will need to be purchased.

Please note that this is the first semester of a year-long course.

******Parents are responsible for purchasing the Medieval History-Based Writing Student book prior to the first day of class (Medieval History-Based Writing Lessons [Student Book only] | MHW-S (iew.com)), as well as either purchasing…
