About the event
This year we will travel back in time to the Medieval period. Knights, Vikings, kings, and famous men of the Middle Ages come to life as students learn to write with structure and style. Students will work through the Institute for Excellence in Writing's (IEW) units 1-4 as they learn to complete key word outlines, take notes, complete stories, and summarize references. This course is an excellent class for students in grades 5-8, or returning IEW students who are ready for more of a challenge.
Vocabulary and grammar will be included in this course.
Please note that this is the first semester of a year-long course.
***Parents are responsible for purchasing the Medieval History-Based Writing Lessons Student book (5th edition, January 2019) prior to the first day of class (https://iew.com/shop/products/medieval-history-based-writing-lessons-student-book-only), as well as either purchasing or printing out the Student Resource Notebook from IEW.
