High School Writing Course (Grades 9-10)

This high school level course is a perfect transition from IEW's history-based courses to higher level writing of multiple types of essays. We will begin the first semester using IEW’s advanced writing program entitled The Elegant Essay.  This program will include how to write thesis statements, essay organization, transitions, introductions, and conclusions with practice in both descriptive and persuasive essay writing.  Help your students become confident essay writers as they delve into the details of the essay-writing process.

This course is intended as the first semester of a year-long course.
