About the event
Experience the adventures of the ancient world while learning how to write with structure and style! Students will work through the Institute for Excellence in Writing's (IEW) units 1-4 as they learn how to take notes and write outlines, write from notes, retell narrative stories, and summarize a reference.
Vocabulary and grammar concepts will be included in this course.
Please note that this is the first semester of a year-long course.
******Parents are responsible for purchasing the Ancient History-Based Writing Student book prior to the first day of class (https://iew.com/shop/products/ancient-history-based-writing-lessons-student-book-only), as well as either purchasing or printing out the IEW Student Resource Notebook (teacher provided).
Spring Semester Mandatory Literature - Students will read ONE of the following novels they have not yet read:
The Golden Goblet (Eloise Jarvis McGraw)
